(1) Territory annexed. In accordance with Wis. Stats. § 66.021(12), the following described territory in the Town of Milton, Rock County, Wisconsin, owned by William E. Brandt and lying contiguous to the present city boundary: Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot (1) of C.S.M. #903425, as recorded in Volume (8) Page (286); thence north 20.0 feet; thence south 87 degrees 27 minutes 30 seconds east 241.87 feet; thence south 20.0 feet; thence north 87 degrees 27 minutes 30 seconds west 241.87 feet to the place of beginning. Containing 4,837 square feet (0.11 acres). (2) Effect of annexation. From and after the date of this ordinance the territory described in subsection (1) shall be a part of the City of Milton for any and all purposes provided by law and all persons coming or residing within such territory shall be subject to all ordinances, rules and regulations governing the City of Milton. (3) Zoning classification. The territory annexed to the City of Milton by this ordinance shall be zoned R-2. (4) Ward designation. The territory described in subsection (1) of this ordinance is hereby made a part of the eighth ward of the City of Milton subject to the ordinances, rules and regulations of the city governing wards. (5) Severability. If any provision of this ordinance is invalid or unconstitutional, or if the application of this ordinance to any person or circumstances is invalid or unconstitutional, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the provisions or applications of this ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid or unconstitutional provision or application. Effective date. This ordinance will take effect upon passage and publication as provided by law. |
