Territory annexed. In accordance with Wis. Stats. § 66.021(12), and the petition for annexation of owned property filed with the city clerk of the City of Milton on the sixth day of July, 1999, with no electors residing in the territory, and City of Milton, by Nathan W. Bruce, Mayor, and Lawrence Delo, City Administrator, being the sole owner of all of the land in this territory, the following described territory in the Town of Milton, Rock County, Wisconsin, shall be annexed to the City of Milton, to-wit:

Part of the SE. one-fourth of the SW. one-fourth and part of the SW. one-fourth of the SE one-fourth of section 26, also part of the NE. one-fourth of the NW. one-fourth and part of the NW. one-fourth of the NE. one-fourth of section 35, T.4N., R.13 E. of the fourth P.M., Milton Township, Rock County, Wisconsin.

Described as follows: Commencing at the SW. corner of said section 26, thence easterly along the south line of the SW. one-fourth of said section, 1,327.03 feet to the SW. corner of the SE. one-fourth of the SW. one-fourth of said section 26; thence northerly along the west line of said SE. one-fourth of said SE. one-fourth of said section 26 (one-eighth line) to the relocated northerly R.O.W. (right-of-way) line of State Trunk Highway 59; thence easterly along the northerly R.O.W. line, 1,810 feet, more or less to the existing easterly city limit line; thence northerly along said easterly city limit line, 430 feet, more or less to the south line of the Central Wisconsin Railroad property; thence northwesterly along said south line, 940 feet, more or less to the east line of Certified Survey Map as recorded in Volume 15, pages 162 through 164; thence northerly along said east line to the north line of said Central Wisconsin Railroad property; thence southeasterly, along said north line, 1,800 feet, more or less to the east line of the west one-half of the SE one-fourth of said section 26; thence southerly along said east line to the northerly line of a Certified Survey Map as recorded in Volume 21, page 19; thence northwesterly along said northerly line to the NW. corner of said Certified Survey Map; thence southerly along the west line of said Certified Survey Map and said line extended southerly, 501 feet, more or less to the relocated southerly R.O.W. line of said State Trunk Highway 59; thence westerly along said southerly R.O.W. line, 1,250 feet, more or less to the existing east city limit line; thence northerly to the north line of the NW. one-fourth of said section 35; thence westerly along said north line (centerline of said STH 26) a distance of 613 feet, more or less to the place of beginning. Containing six acres, more or less.

Effective date of annexation. From and after the date of this ordinance, the territory described in subsection (1) shall be a part of the City of Milton for any and all purposes provided by law and all persons currently residing within such territory shall be subject to all ordinances, rules and regulations governing the City of Milton.

Temporary zoning classification. The territory annexed to the City of Milton by this ordinance is temporarily designed to be zoned M-1, industrial first class, for zoning purposes and shall be designated such on the city zoning map.

Ward designation. The territory described in subsection (1) of this ordinance is hereby made a part of ward 2 of the City of Milton.

Effective date of annexation. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication as provided by law.
